Final Magazine Advert
This image is of our Magazine Advert. It is the same as our back cover of the Digipak because we liked the idea of the writing going in the white box, but we did put an image of the front album cover on the bottom left, so people knew it was the poster for our digipak. The reason we have used the font 'ALL AGES' is because we thought it fit in well with our indie genre and the reason the writing is in black and white is because it contrasts well with the black wall in the background. The reason we didn't put a release date on our poster is because we thought it would be a good idea to say it was out now, so people could get the CD straight away. We used the record label 'Virgin' because they have a lot of money and are a well known label, therefore, people may think that our album would be good. The image we have chosen to use, like I said before, has been used on the back of our album but the reason we used it on our advert is because we thought the way the image was positioned looked good because he is looking down on the writing and the reason it is in black and white is that it fits in with the indie genre. Finally, when thinking about brand identity, we used the image on the back of our digipak as our magazine advert so people knew for definite that it was for our album. We also used the same font as again, it fits in with the indie theme and people will recognise it as our design. I think that our magazine advert would probably been shown in the magazines 'Q' or 'NME' because these magazines tend to be aimed at indie and alternative type music.
